Laurencess “Chet” Operiano
Legal Assistant
I have a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, where I developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills over the course of five years. While my educational background is rooted in engineering, my career path and personal experiences have drawn me toward the field of family law. I am deeply interested in this area because it provides the opportunity to make a direct and lasting difference in people’s lives, especially as they navigate some of their most personal and difficult challenges. Family law requires both advocacy and compassion, and I find fulfillment in balancing these qualities to support individuals and families in need. My client-facing goals in this profession are centered on building trust and providing reassurance. I believe that every client deserves to feel understood, respected, and supported throughout their journey. By practicing empathy, maintaining open and clear communication, and being both reliable and approachable, I aim to create a positive experience where clients feel confident in the guidance they receive. I want to ensure that even in moments of uncertainty, clients feel they are not facing the process alone.
Beyond my professional aspirations, I am also a proud new mother to my seven-month-old daughter, an experience that has further deepened my perspective on the importance of family and support systems. Motherhood has strengthened my patience, empathy, and determination—qualities that I bring into my work in family law.
Additionally, my family and I are passionate about animal welfare, often rescuing dogs and cats who are abandoned or searching for love and a home. These personal commitments reflect my belief in compassion, responsibility, and the value of giving others—whether people or animals—the chance to feel secure and cared for. Altogether, these experiences and values fuel my dedication to family law. I am eager to continue learning and growing in this field, not only to expand my knowledge and skills but also to contribute meaningfully to the lives of the clients and families I serve.
